The Freestyle Libre is a continuous glucose monitor. Using this monitor does not require fingersticks for routine blood sugar checks. There is a sensor (shown in the picture) that is worn on the back of the upper arm that provides the readings. The sensor remains in place for 10 days. The meter is placed close to the meter for a reading to be displayed. You must have a prescription to get system and the cost of the system depends on your insurance coverage and guidelines.
